Longdenville Man Arrested with Glock and 49 Rounds in Charleville Anti-Crime Operation

In a recent anti-crime operation, a man from Longdenville was arrested by officers of the Highway Patrol Task Force in the Central Division. The exercise, aimed at reducing criminal activity, took place between the evening of July 23rd and the early hours of July 24th, 2026, along Caroni Savannah Road in Charleville.

During the operation, officers confiscated a Glock pistol and a significant amount of ammunition. The seized items included an extended magazine containing 32 rounds and a second magazine with 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition, totaling 49 rounds.

The operation was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Daly, with support from Superintendent Matthews and ASP Martin. Ag. Inspector Lindsay coordinated the efforts, which were part of a broader initiative to enhance safety in the region.

The arrest and seizure highlight ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address the proliferation of illegal firearms and ammunition. The police remain committed to maintaining public safety and reducing crime through proactive measures.
