Leah Campos dice sentirse «muy bendecida» al celebrar su primer año como embajadora de EE. UU. en RD

The United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Campos, marked the anniversary of her arrival in the country on Friday. In a post shared on Instagram, Campos thanked God and the Dominican people for the warm welcome she has received during her first year in Santo Domingo. Campos, who began her tenure as ambassador in 2023, said she feels “very blessed” and expressed deep gratitude to “my Lord Jesus Christ” for the opportunity to serve the United States and to the Dominican people for their affection, prayers and openness. She highlighted the strengthening of friendship between the two nations and reflected on the relationships she has built with citizens, leaders and communities since her first visit a year ago. In a video filmed at the Cathedral Primada de América, Campos recalled that her inaugural visit to the Dominican Republic took place there. She noted that since then she has met many people and contributed to deepening ties between the United States and the Dominican Republic. “I am grateful to the Dominican Republic for a wonderful first year,” Campos wrote. “I look forward to the experiences and opportunities that the next year will bring.”
