In Paramaribo, authorities arrested a couple suspected of online fraud.
The couple, identified as J.M. and his girlfriend A.M., are accused of fraud, embezzlement, complicity and aiding and abetting in these offenses.
They were taken into custody following coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
M.N., the father of J.M., was also detained but was released after interrogation.
The police report was released by the Surinamese Police Corps on Friday.
