Jennie of BLACKPINK has recorded a song for the upcoming Netflix animated film Steps, according to her agency, OA Entertainment. The track, titled “Someone to Hold,” marks the first time the K‑pop singer‑rapper has contributed to an animated film soundtrack. In an interview quoted by Yonhap, Jennie said she enjoyed the experience and was pleased to be part of a world populated by friendly and engaging characters. The song has already been nominated in the “Song – Animated Film” category at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, even before its official release. Steps is an American musical fantasy comedy that will premiere on Netflix on November 20. The film is directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa and is loosely based on the Cinderella story, drawing inspiration from the duo Garfunkel and Oates, as well as creators Riki Linhome and Micucci.
