Audio by Carbonatix Asempa FM’s flagship current affairs programme, Ekosiisen, was awarded the Best Radio Programme of the Year (Ghanaian Language) at the 30th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards. The accolade recognises the programme’s Twi‑language broadcasting and its contribution to public discourse on national issues. The ceremony, held in Accra on Saturday, 7 November 2026, carried the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Advancing Media Freedom and Combating Hate Speech in the Digital Age.” On the same night, the programme’s host, Philip Osei Bonsu—known on air as O.B.—was named the 2026 GJA Journalist of the Year. The dual honours marked a significant evening for Asempa FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group Limited. In a post‑award interview, O.B. credited the success to his team’s dedication. “This recognition truly reflects the hard work and sense of professionalism of my incredible team on EKOSIISEN. It also reflects the sense of duty and dedication to my chosen professions: Broadcast Journalism and Law,” he said. Ekosiisen, hosted by O.B., covers political developments, public affairs and national issues in Twi. The programme’s award underscores its role in shaping informed public debate in Ghana.
