Budapest – The Budapest Central District Court’s investigating judge, Miklós Seszták, former Minister of National Development, has arrested a former confidential secretary of the ministry. The National Asset Recovery and Protection Office said the arrested individual acted as a money courier in the receipt and transport of corruption proceeds. According to the office, the suspect allegedly accepted bribes in a criminal syndicate and in a business‑like manner from a senior official, and also accepted bribes from an independent agent in a criminal syndicate. The statement was released to the Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday.
