*Willemstad, Curacao – August 30, 2026* — In the International championship round of the Little League World Series (LLWS) on Saturday afternoon, Curacao’s Pariba Little League from Willemstad advanced to the title game after a 4‑0 victory over Japan’s Joto Little League of Tokyo.
Curacao’s right‑hand pitcher Jaymiell Martina recorded 12 strikeouts over 5 ⅔ innings, allowing two hits and two walks on 88 pitches. Martina’s performance was complemented by a decisive RBI double in the fourth inning, the game’s only extra‑base hit. Curacao generated three unearned runs in the third inning before adding the RBI double, securing a shutout win.
The final out was recorded by reliever Glendry Ryan, who retired the last batter to close the game.
Japan’s starter Yunosuke Yabe pitched five innings, yielding four hits and one earned run while striking out six and issuing one walk.
With the win, Curacao will meet the United States champion Paseo Verde Little League of Henderson, Nevada, in the LLWS title game scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Japan’s Joto Little League will contest the third‑place game against West Side Little League of Hamilton, Ohio, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Sunday.
