In an intelligence-led operation, officers of the Southern Division seized a firearm magazine and ammunition in La Horquetta on July 3rd, 2026. The operation, dubbed R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield, was carried out between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., following a larceny report in the Gasparillo district.
Officers proceeded to a residence on Marjorie Street, Padmore Lane, La Horquetta, where a search was conducted under the State of Emergency Powers Regulations, 2026. During the search, officers discovered a 9mm firearm magazine containing ten rounds of ammunition concealed inside a pillowcase in a bedroom.
The items were promptly seized and taken to the Gasparillo Police Station for evidential processing. A 44-year-old man was detained in connection with the seizure. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
The operation was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Hospedales, Superintendent Bertie, and Superintendent Bridglal. It was spearheaded by ASP Ramsaran, ASP Pacheco, ASP Ragbir, ASP Chulhan, and Inspector Alexander, under the supervision of Sergeant Ramoo.
