The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) announced on Saturday that Belarus national teams will be excluded from international competition for the current season. According to the federation, Belarus will not participate in the under‑20 World Championship or the men’s World Championship. The decision was made by the IIHF Council, following a ruling by the federation’s disciplinary committee. Belarus was previously barred from international tournaments at the same time as Russia in 2022.
