Content creator Smartician has revealed how Instagram disabled his account just as his viral washing machine video was taking off online. According to Smartician, the video amassed 67 million views, causing his follower count to surge from 300,000 to 1.3 million in just two weeks. At the height of that viral success, he says Instagram disabled his account, citing “account integrity” concerns.

In a viral Instagram reel, Smartician explained that his account was suspended shortly after one of his videos showing him creating a washing machine took off online. According to him, the video amassed 67 million views, helping his follower count surge from 300,000 to 1.3 million in just two weeks.

“I had 1.3 million followers and the biggest video of my life,” he said. “It was the same time Instagram suspended my account.”

Smartician recalled opening Instagram to check on his rapidly growing page, only to be met with a notification stating that his account had been disabled.

“At first, I thought it was a mistake,” he said.

He explained that Instagram cited “account integrity” as the reason for the suspension. Smartician believes the platform’s automated systems may have flagged the account because of its unusually rapid growth.

“They thought it was a bought account,” he said, adding that he could understand why the sudden increase in followers might have raised suspicion.

Following Instagram’s instructions, he submitted an appeal. However, he said the situation only became more frustrating afterward.

Determined to regain access to his account, Smartician said he contacted more than 10 Meta support agents, but each conversation ended with the same response.

“They all kept saying the same thing that no further actions could be taken on my account,” he said.

His story has resonated with thousands of social media users, many of whom shared similar experiences in the comments. The discussion has sparked broader conversations about automated moderation systems, account security, and the challenges creators can face when their accounts experience sudden viral growth.
