Lil Saint’s Final Video Released After Death Leaves Fans Heartbroken
Just hours after news broke that popular Guyanese dancehall and soca artiste Lil Saint had died, an emotional video he recorded before his passing was released, fulfilling a request he made to his wife.
According to reports, Lil Saint, whose real name was Emmanuel James, died following complications from major surgery after battling serious health issues for several years.
In the lengthy and deeply personal recording, the artiste revealed he had spent the past four years suffering from severe abdominal pain and frequent vomiting, which he said doctors eventually traced to a mass on his pancreas. He explained that he had postponed the major surgery twice because he was afraid but ultimately decided to go through with the operation.
The most emotional part of the video, however, was not about his illness.
Speaking directly to his supporters, Lil Saint praised his wife for standing beside him through his darkest moments, saying she never gave up on him when he had lost faith in himself. He credited her with encouraging him to continue making music and rebuilding his life when everything seemed to be falling apart.
He then made a heartfelt request that, if he did not survive, the video should be released publicly. In it, he asked that all of his belongings remain with his wife and urged relatives not to threaten or harass her over his estate.
Lil Saint also shared painful personal accounts of what he described as years of strained relationships with members of his family. He alleged that he was denied support during some of the most difficult periods of his life, including while he was hospitalized. These allegations reflect Lil Saint’s own statements in the video and have not been independently verified.
The recording has since spread rapidly across social media, with thousands of fans expressing heartbreak not only over the loss of the talented artiste but also over the raw honesty of his final message.
Guyana’s Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport has since paid tribute to Lil Saint, describing him as a gifted young entertainer whose passion and creativity left a lasting impression on the country’s music industry.
For many supporters, Lil Saint’s final video has become more than a farewell—it is a deeply personal reflection on love, loyalty, forgiveness and the importance of standing by those who stand by you.
