Guyana’s President Pushes for 72-Hour Trade Talks With Trinidad and Tobago

Guyana’s President Mohamed Irfaan Ali has called for an intensive 72-hour meeting between Trinidad and Tobago’s government and private sector leaders to resolve long-standing trade and transit issues. Speaking at the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce annual business meeting, he said both countries must move beyond discussion and urgently remove barriers affecting trade efficiency and regional competitiveness.
