Tegucigalpa, Honduras – The government of President Nasry announced on Monday that it will ensure the continued supply of basic grains to the population amid the prolonged drought affecting the country.
In a statement, officials said the administration would maintain an integrated response to the drought’s impacts and guarantee that there would be no shortages of essential food items.
Alongside the grain supply guarantee, the government will keep providing humanitarian and productive assistance to families, farmers and livestock owners in the most affected regions.
The announcement was made by the government’s spokesperson and was reported by Diario El Mundo.
