A court in Jhenaidah has sentenced a woman to life imprisonment for the murder of a three-and-a-half-year-old child. The verdict was delivered on Tuesday, September 22, by Judge Md. Helal Uddin of the Jhenaidah Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-1.
The defendant, identified as Shantana Khatun, was the sole accused in the case involving the death of Saima Akter Saba. According to court records, the incident occurred on the morning of December 3, 2025, in Pabhati village, located in the Jhenaidah district. The victim was the daughter of Saidul Islam.
