Gambia Raises Bullock Border Incident with Senegal in High-Level Meeting

Gambian Foreign Minister Mamadou Njie met Senegalese President Bassirou Faye to discuss the July 16, 2026 incident at the Bullock military camp, where Senegalese forces demolished the perimeter fence of the Gambian barracks. Accompanied by a high-powered delegation, Minister Njie conveyed a message of friendship from President Adama Barrow and raised the border issue firmly but diplomatically. Both sides agreed to resolve such matters through established bilateral mechanisms and dialogue. The meeting also covered broader bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
