**Estonia National Opera Hosts Inaugural Vana Tallinn Baltic Opera Gala**
The Estonian National Opera hosted the inaugural Vana Tallinn Baltic Opera Gala on September 4, featuring performances by leading soloists from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
The event marks the beginning of a new annual collaborative initiative between the three Baltic nations. Moving forward, the gala is scheduled to rotate annually among the three countries.
The program for the inaugural gala was developed through a joint effort by the chief conductors of the three participating national opera houses: Arvo Volmer (Estonia), Mārtiņš Ozoliņš (Latvia), and Ričardas Šumila (Lithuania).
According to organizers, the gala is the result of a cultural agreement signed last year between the national opera houses of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The initiative aims to expand creative cooperation and showcase the region’s top operatic talent and musical artistry to a broader audience.
