Frank Gabadinho Mhango: Still a Long Road to Recovery from Achilles Injury

Malawi national football team captain Frank Gabadinho Mhango has revealed that he is still not fully recovered from an achilles injury that has sidelined him. Speaking in an interview, the South Africa-based star admitted he has ‘some way to go’ before returning to full fitness.

The 2026/27 Premier Soccer League season is set to kick off on August 1, but Mhango confirmed he will not be ready by that date. The striker has been undergoing rehabilitation but remains cautious about setting a return timeline.

Mhango, who plays for a South African club, is a key figure for the Flames. His absence could impact Malawi’s upcoming international fixtures and his club’s early season campaign. Fans will be eager for updates as his recovery progresses.
