First Red Cross Arusha Marathon to boost support for vulnerable communities

The Tanzania Red Cross Society, Arusha Branch, has announced the inaugural Red Cross Arusha Marathon, set for August 2 at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for vulnerable communities in the region.

According to organizers, the marathon will feature three race categories to encourage broad participation. Proceeds will support ongoing humanitarian efforts by the Red Cross in Arusha.

Speaking about the initiative, branch officials emphasized the importance of community engagement in addressing social needs. The marathon is expected to draw runners and supporters from across the country.

Registration details and additional information are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
