A 25-year-old woman from Otaheite Bay, South Oropouche, was reportedly assaulted by her ex-partner and father of her children. The incident took place when he arrived at her home under the pretext of collecting money for their children. The man allegedly assaulted her physically and sexually after luring her into his car. After the assault, he took her to a secluded area in Aripero and forced her into performing sexual acts against her will. The ordeal continued at Carat Shed Beach, La Brea, where he forced her to perform oral sex again before sexually assaulting her. The victim was dropped off near a fish market in Otaheite Bay following the assault. She reported the incident and was examined medically at the Siparia District Health Facility.
