Man in handcuffs
An elderly woman in Laventille endured a terrifying ordeal when she was held at gunpoint during a home invasion. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with two armed intruders breaking into the 81-year-old’s home and stealing $300 in cash. The woman was asleep when the invasion occurred, and was awakened by noises in her living room. Upon investigation, she was confronted by the intruders, one of whom was armed, and demanded her cash without making any noise. The men then forced the woman onto her bed, covered her face with a pillow, and fled with her handbag containing the cash. The police are investigating the matter and are urging anyone with pertinent information to come forward.
