The Dominican Federation of Merchants (FDC) has urged tax authorities in the Dominican Republic to strengthen oversight of Chinese-owned businesses. The federation says that some of these establishments may be engaging in practices that raise concerns about unfair competition.
The FDC’s call comes from Santo Domingo, where the federation has highlighted the need for greater regulatory scrutiny to ensure a level playing field for all merchants operating in the country.
