In a devastating road accident in September 2024, Sachelle Richardson, a woman living with physical and intellectual disabilities, lost her mother and primary caregiver, Sacha Richardson. The accident left Sachelle critically injured with severe head trauma and multiple fractures, confining her to the Intensive Care Unit of San Fernando General Hospital for a month. The young woman, who is non-verbal and depended heavily on her mother, was unable to attend the funeral.
