CWU head calls for transparency over TSTT Tobago retreat
Communication Workers Union Secretary General Joanne Ogeer is calling on TSTT to disclose the true figures related to a retreat held in Tobago.
Ogeer is also urging Minister of Public Utilities Barry Padarath to demonstrate the same level of urgency in demanding transparency from TSTT as he did while serving in opposition.
The union’s call adds to growing public interest in accountability and spending at the state-linked telecommunications company, with questions now being raised about whether full details surrounding the Tobago retreat will be made public.
For Ogeer, the issue is not only about the figures themselves, but also about consistency in leadership and oversight when it comes to transparency in public matters.
