A police investigation has been launched into the disappearance of a courier, Aaron Lowe, who allegedly failed to return $109,000 in cash to M&M Insurance Brokers Limited after cashing the company’s cheques. The incident took place on Tuesday, June 16, at the company’s location in Boisierre Village, Maraval.
According to the police report, Lowe was entrusted with four cheques by an administrative assistant of the insurance company. He was instructed to exchange the cheques at a bank branch in Ellerslie Plaza and return the cash to the company immediately.
In addition to exchanging the cheques, Lowe was also expected to make bill payments on behalf of the business. However, after the cheques were exchanged and the funds were handed over by bank officials, attempts to reach Lowe by phone proved unsuccessful.
Since the transaction, Lowe has not been seen or heard from, and has not returned to the business. The police are currently seeking Lowe in connection to the alleged incident.
