Councilor and Partner Found Dead in Possible Murder-Suicide

On Sunday, councillor Romona Teeneal Victor, aged 36, and her long-time partner, Rodney Ramsumair, aged 45, were found dead in their home at Quinam Branch Road, Coora Road. The couple’s bodies were discovered around 3:30 p.m. by a concerned relative. Victor’s body was hidden under a blanket, whilst Ramsumair had froth coming from his nose, suggesting possible poisoning. Investigators recovered a handwritten note, a bottle of herbicide, and personal electronic devices from the scene. The couple had been in a common-law relationship for 16 years, sharing a home for the last decade. Autopsies are pending to determine the precise causes of death, but initial police statements suggest the incident may be a murder-suicide.
