A series of coordinated police operations in San Fernando and Princes Town on Thursday, July 23, 2026, led to the detention of six individuals. The operations, which aimed to tackle illegal firearms and larceny, were executed by the South Western Division and Southern Division officers.

The first operation took place around 5:00 p.m. near Skinner Park, San Fernando, where officers attempted to intercept a vehicle suspected of carrying illegal firearms. During a high-speed chase, one suspect managed to escape on foot along Donaldson Street. The vehicle was later stopped on the San Fernando Bypass, leading to the recovery of a revolver and the detention of three individuals.

Meanwhile, in Princes Town, a separate operation between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. targeted larceny suspects. The arrests were linked to the theft of vehicle parts from a local businessman. Acting on intelligence, officers intercepted a grey Mazda Alexa on Manahambre Road, resulting in the arrest of three suspects aged 23, 16, and 20. The stolen parts, along with other possibly illicit items, were recovered from a residence on Railway Reserve Road.
