Caracas Rocked by Suspected US Military Strikes

In the early hours of Saturday, loud explosions echoed through Caracas, accompanied by sounds resembling aircraft flyovers. These unsettling developments come amidst rising tensions with the US, as President Donald Trump hinted at possible ground strikes against Venezuela. International media outlets, including Al Jazeera and Reuters, reported on these potential military attacks. The reports suggested several military targets were hit in and around Caracas. Circulating online videos show multiple loud explosions and billowing smoke, with low-flying military aircraft visible. These videos’ authenticity is yet to be independently verified. The strikes reportedly come in response to an attempt to dismantle alleged narco-trafficking networks, following President Trump’s warning. This comes after previous US airstrikes resulted in nearly 120 fatalities. As of now, details surrounding the reported ground strikes remain scarce, with no official confirmation from either the US or Venezuelan authorities.
