Bolsonaro dice que el resultado de los comicios en Brasil es «matemáticamente imposible»

Flávio Bolsonaro, the former Brazilian presidential candidate who lost to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the 2022 election, has again questioned the legitimacy of the results. During a live broadcast on his social‑media channels from the United States, where he and his family had fled on Tuesday, Bolsonaro described the outcome as “mathematically impossible” and accused the president of winning “with a handball.” The former senator, who has been a vocal critic of Lula’s administration, said: “There are many inexplicable things in these elections, that mathematically it is impossible that they have happened in the real world, unless, as I said, there was some handball.” He added that the victory was achieved through “a goal with the hand.” Bolsonaro’s remarks come amid ongoing scrutiny of the 2022 presidential election, in which Lula secured a second term after a closely contested race. The former candidate’s claims have been dismissed by election officials and analysts, who point to the extensive verification processes that confirmed the results.
