Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster have launched their fourth collaborative collection, titled “Deconstruction.” The new series, which became available this week, is currently sold through the official Gentle Monster website and select retail boutiques. The collection features a total of 68 frames, comprising 43 pairs of sunglasses and 25 optical frames. According to a press release from the brands, the designs aim to elevate familiar silhouettes while incorporating distorted elements. This approach is intended to reflect the deconstructionist philosophy central to Maison Margiela’s brand identity, combined with the sculptural aesthetic characteristic of Gentle Monster. The release of “Deconstruction” coincides with a broader wave of new fashion launches this week, including the winter collection from Alex Mill and the collaboration between H&M and Elie Saab. The new eyewear line is positioned as a blend of classic design and experimental styling.
