*Kathmandu, Nepal – August 27, 2026* – Sunita Dangol, the acting chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, conducted a site visit to assess the condition of patients hospitalized after being injured in the recent flooding of the Bhote Koshi River.

During the visit, Dangol toured the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TU Teaching Hospital) and the National Trauma Center. She met with the injured individuals as well as their relatives, and inspected the facilities designated for critical care, including the “Yellow Zone” and the intensive care unit (ICU).

No further details on the number of patients, their injuries, or any additional measures announced by the municipal administration were disclosed in the report.

The visit underscores the Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s ongoing involvement in the response to the Bhote Koshi River flood, which has resulted in multiple hospitalizations across the capital.
