Jaafar al-Mirghani, head of the Democratic Bloc, has called on the committee tasked with preparing for the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue to accelerate its operations. He urged the committee to publish a formal schedule for consultations and emphasized the necessity of including Sudanese citizens living abroad as well as displaced persons in the process.
In a statement posted to social media, al-Mirghani addressed recent decisions made by the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, aimed at fostering an environment conducive to national dialogue. Al-Mirghani described these measures as a step taken by a state that recognizes the importance of consensus in achieving victory.
Al-Mirghani further stated that the ongoing conflict underscores the significance of the dialogue. He stressed that the state should act as a guarantor of the dialogue process rather than seeking to control it, advocating for broader participation to ensure the inclusivity of the discussions.
