Иванчева: Не превръщайте моята съдба в оръжие за кална предизборна кампания

Desislava Ivancheva, a former member of the National Assembly, issued a statement on social media calling for her personal situation not to be used as a weapon in a negative pre‑election campaign.

In the post, Ivancheva said, “Do not turn my fate into a weapon for a dirty pre‑election campaign.” She added that her name had recently resurfaced in political discourse, noting that “this time it is accompanied by attacks on Iliyana Yotov for the pardon of Ognian Atanasov.”

Ivancheva, who served in the Bulgarian Parliament from 2009 to 2013, has previously expressed concerns about the politicisation of her personal affairs. She stated that for years she has been “facing a lot of pressure” and that the current political climate is “unfairly targeting her.”

The statement was first published by the online newspaper “Vestnik Bulgaria” on the website bulgaria‑weekly.com.

Ivancheva’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the use of personal narratives in Bulgarian politics, particularly in the lead‑up to the next parliamentary elections.
