**Central Minister Ramdas Athawale Predicts “Wicket” for Rahul Gandhi in 2029 Lok Sabha Elections**

*Indore, India* – Central Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ramdas Athawale, a senior BJP leader, said in an interview that he expects to “take Rahul Gandhi’s wicket” in the next Lok Sabha elections scheduled for 2029. Athawale compared the forthcoming electoral contest to a cricket match, stating that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would be in a strong position while the Congress team, led by Rahul Gandhi, would lack cohesion.

Athawale said, “We will play cricket in 2029. In that, I will definitely take Rahul Gandhi’s wicket.” He added that although Rahul Gandhi may criticize the government, he would find it difficult to win even a single “match” in the elections.

The minister also addressed Rahul Gandhi’s repeated claims that the central government intends to amend the Constitution. Athawale urged the opposition leader not to worry about the alleged constitutional changes, emphasizing that the responsibility to preserve the Constitution lies with the current government.

“Rahul Gandhi can talk to the youth, but in 2029 the same youth will join the NDA‑led BJP,” Athawale said. He expressed confidence that the government would be formed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a fourth term.

The statements were made in Indore and reported by the Kannada‑language news outlet Prajavani.
