The second large cruise ship built by China, the Aida Huachun, was officially delivered in Shanghai, marking a significant shift from the construction of individual vessels to the serial production of large cruise ships in the country. The Aida Huachun measures 341 metres in length, a span that exceeds three standard football fields. It contains 2,130 cabins, which can accommodate more than 5,200 passengers. The ship’s deck area is comparable to the combined floor space of six mid‑size five‑star hotels on land.
