Aspiring Political Criminal: Ogun APC Senatorial Aspirant Otunba Muraina Olatunji Banjoko Accused of Land Grabbing, Intimidation and Use of Force

Otunba Muraina Olatunji Banjoko, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ogun Central Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, has been the subject of several formal police petitions alleging land grabbing, intimidation and the use of force.

The petitions, filed with the Ogun State Police Command, allege that Mr. Banjoko, who is popularly known as “Threeco,” has engaged in activities that disrupt lawful development projects and that he has used intimidation tactics against individuals and groups opposing his actions.

According to the documents, the alleged land grabbing involves the acquisition of property without proper legal documentation, and the intimidation claims include threats and coercive measures aimed at preventing the lawful use of the land. The petitions also allege that Mr. Banjoko has employed force in the course of these activities.

Mr. Banjoko is campaigning for the APC ticket for the Ogun Central Senatorial District, a position that would allow him to represent the district in the Nigerian Senate. The allegations have been reported by the news outlet Secrets Reporters Nigeria, which described the situation as a “disturbing picture” of alleged misconduct linked to the aspirant.

There is no public record of a court proceeding or a conviction related to these allegations at this time. The police petitions remain pending, and no further statements have been released by Mr. Banjoko or the APC regarding the accusations.
