Federal authorities arrested 28-year-old Junior Tejada Hernández in Worcester, Massachusetts, on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. The arrest followed the discovery of more than three kilograms of fentanyl during a law enforcement operation at his residence. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the arrest occurred on October 21, 2026, when agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Worcester Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 115 Clover Street. During the search, investigators reported finding the fentanyl in a bedroom, along with a suitcase containing drug-adulteration materials, packaging supplies, a sifting device, scissors, and a blender allegedly used to mix narcotics. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts stated that the charge of possession with intent to distribute carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a minimum of three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million. The operation was part of a collaborative effort involving several federal and state agencies, including the FBI, the DEA, and the Massachusetts State Police.
