Archbishop Criticizes Carnival’s Sex Toy Giveaways

As Valentine’s Day nears, Archbishop Jason Gordon has criticized Tribe, the group behind Carnival, for their decision to distribute sex toys to female attendees. During a Sunday sermon, Gordon expressed his concern that such actions were promoting hedonism. He urged for a return to the true spirit of Carnival, which he considers to be a celebration of the vibrancy and creativity of Trinidad and Tobago. He also mentioned that whatever happens in the Trinidad Carnival impacts other islands as well. The Archbishop indicated that if the company refuses to reconsider their decision, the public should demand the government to introduce regulations. He added that just as he has advocated for regulations on social media to protect children, he might need to request the government to intervene in this matter too. The CEO of Tribe Group, Dean Ackin, has yet to respond.
