Gilson Borges de Souza, identified by authorities as a founding member of the criminal organization Bonde dos Treze, was arrested on Friday, September 18, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Known by the alias Vei Gilson, he had been a fugitive since July 21, 2022.
Souza is currently serving a 66-year prison sentence. According to reports, he had been evading law enforcement for four years prior to his capture in the capital of Rio Grande do Norte.
