**Harvest season begins in South Iceland following favorable summer**
Farmers in South Iceland have begun the annual harvest following a summer characterized by lush and favorable growing conditions.
At the Böðmóðsstaðir farm in Laugardalur, Bláskógabyggð, producer Styrmir Snær Jónsson is currently harvesting carrots. Jónsson has dedicated 3.5 hectares of land to the crop and anticipates a total yield of approximately 100 tonnes.
