Al menos 30 muertos en el accidente entre dos trenes ocurrido en España

At least 30 people have died in a railway collision that occurred on Wednesday in the province of Toledo, south of Madrid, according to official sources cited by EFE. Firefighters are still working to recover bodies, and the number of injured remains unknown. The accident took place near the station of the town of Urda, involving a Renfe high‑speed train (AVE) and an Iryo service. The Iryo train, carrying 147 passengers—including a baby—collided with the AVE, which had 397 passengers on board. Several carriages of the Iryo train fell into a ravine. Emergency services, including ground and air units and a specialized military unit, were dispatched to the scene. Victims were transported to several hospitals. Adif, the railway infrastructure manager, has suspended all traffic between Madrid and the southern corridor until further notice. The Ministry of Transport has advised passengers holding tickets for that route not to use the stations.
