The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has appealed to the Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, to intervene in the case of its president, Er Rashid, a Member of Parliament from Baramulla. The party is seeking expedited consideration of Rashid’s bail plea, as he completed seven years of incarceration on Saturday.
The AIP made the appeal at a press conference held in Srinagar, where they requested the Chief Justice to consider Rashid’s bail plea with compassion and urgency.
