TikTok creator Travel Star is gaining attention after claiming that travellers can fly from Trinidad to Miami and back on the same day, with airfares available for under TT$1,000 each way.
In a recent video, posted under the caption “Miami Day Trip Under $1000 TTD both ways from Trinidad”, the creator outlines what they describe as an ideal itinerary for a quick getaway.
According to Travel Star , travellers can take a nonstop American Airlines flight, arriving in Miami before lunchtime. From there, they can either spend the day shopping at Dolphin Mall, Miami International Mall and CityPlace Doral or head in the opposite direction to enjoy South Beach and Bayside Marketplace.
The creator recommends using Uber for transportation, estimating rides at between US$10 and US$20, while noting that rental vehicles can sometimes be found for under US$10. However, they say they would personally choose a larger rental company instead.
Among the suggested attractions are the Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel, which the creator says costs about US$20, and the nearby Millionaire’s Row sightseeing cruise.
Travel Star also advises travellers to return to Miami International Airport by around 4:30 p.m. for a 6:30 p.m. return flight and notes that additional checked baggage can be added at the airport for those who make extra purchases.
The creator concludes by saying that while same-day international trips are not for everyone, those who enjoy adventure and can afford the experience may find them worthwhile.
The claims made in the video reflect the creator’s personal travel recommendations and estimated costs. Airfares and travel expenses may vary depending on booking dates, availability, airline pricing and individual spending.
