Allegations of Corruption Surface in Trinidad’s Attorney General’s Office

Victor Roberts has released a video raising a number of allegations and questions concerning John Jeremie, who currently serves as The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago.

In the video, Roberts refers viewers to what he describes as the “Must Still Report,” encouraging the public to read the document for themselves. He alleges that the report contains information relating to an alleged $400,000 bribe involving former Chief Magistrate Marcia Ayers-Caesar McNichols and an alleged $3.6 million land transaction involving Jeremie. Roberts presents these as matters that warrant public attention. These allegations have not been proven in court, and no findings of wrongdoing have been made against the individuals mentioned.

Roberts also questions why, according to him, there has been no apparent follow-up to a request by former President of the Criminal Bar Association, Desmond Allum, for an investigation into matters involving Jeremie.

Throughout the video, Roberts argues that the issues he raises deserve greater public scrutiny and calls for accountability and transparency within the justice system. The allegations and opinions expressed in the video are those of Roberts and should not be interpreted as established fact.
