31 Workers Rescued After Los Angeles Tunnel Collapse

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Los Angeles on Wednesday night as thirty-one workers trapped in a collapsed underground tunnel were safely brought to the surface. The incident occurred approximately five miles from the tunnel’s only entry and exit point, at a depth of about 400 feet. Reports suggest that the workers were able to navigate a 12- to 15-foot-high mound of loose soil to reach their colleagues, who were not trapped, for assistance. Emergency responders worked swiftly to ensure the safety of all individuals involved in this dangerous situation, highlighting the challenges and risks faced in underground construction work.
