$15,000 vanishes after MovieTowne parking lot break-in

Police are investigating a vehicle break-in at the MovieTowne basement car park, where $15,000 in cash and personal documents were reportedly stolen.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, after a 26-year-old farmer parked and secured his black Toyota Yaris Cross in the basement parking area near Popeye’s around 4 p.m. before leaving.
When he returned around 7:30 p.m., he discovered that the rear driver’s-side window had been shattered.
Further checks revealed that a grey-and-black Adidas bag, containing $15,000 in cash and personal documents, was missing from the vehicle.
A report was made to the police and investigations are continuing
