Zambia Police Ramp Up Security Operations Ahead of Elections, Vow Peace

With the elections drawing closer, the Zambia Police Service has intensified preparations to ensure peace and security across the country. Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi, speaking in an interview with the media, assured the public that measures have been put in place to maintain order before, during, and after the electoral period. ‘We are committed to ensuring a peaceful environment for all Zambians to exercise their democratic rights,’ Chilabi stated. The operations are part of a broader strategy to prevent any disruptions and address potential security threats. The police service has urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activities. This development comes as the nation gears up for what is expected to be a closely watched electoral process.
