Zárónyilatkozat nélkül ér véget a külügyminiszteri találkozó Atlantában

The G20 foreign‑ministers’ meeting in Washington, which began on Friday and ran for two days, concluded without a joint statement, according to diplomatic sources. Participants were sharply divided over several issues. The central debate focused on Russia’s war in Ukraine, while another point of contention was Poland’s bid to join the G20. Moscow has expressed a firm opposition to Poland’s admission. The customary group photo of the ministers was not taken. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was the rotating chair of the meeting, cancelled the photo after several European diplomats threatened to boycott the session because of the presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Several diplomats also criticized Washington for not inviting South Africa, a G20 member, to the meeting. The G20 brings together the world’s largest developed and emerging economies, representing roughly 85 % of global GDP and about two‑thirds of the world’s population.
