Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, praising his leadership and the ongoing partnership between the two nations.
In his message, President Putin stated that Prime Minister Modi enjoys deep respect from his compatriots and holds significant authority on the global stage. He further credited the Prime Minister with making a personal contribution to the strengthening of the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia.
The correspondence followed a recent diplomatic visit by President Putin to New Delhi, where he attended a BRICS Summit. In his message, the Russian President expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to him and his delegation during the trip. He described the bilateral discussions held during the visit as substantive, frank, and productive, noting that the talks demonstrated the Prime Minister’s political foresight.
During the summit, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting to discuss trade, infrastructure, energy, technology, defense, and cultural cooperation. They specifically addressed the implementation of the Programme for Economic Cooperation 2030.
