The government of Guyana allocated 3,245 house lots during the first half of 2026, with women accounting for 1,547 of the beneficiaries. According to the Ministry of Finance’s 2026 Mid-Year Report, this figure represents approximately 47.7 percent of the total allocations made under the national housing programme.
The report further noted that the government invested $89.9 billion into the affordable-housing programme during the same period. These allocations are part of an ongoing initiative to address housing needs across the country.
