A 36-year-old woman was victim of a robbery on November 23rd, 2025, around lunchtime. She was parked in her silver Hyundai Elantra at Royal Bank and Independence Square when a man emerged from a red Toyota Aqua and approached her. The thief made away with her Cuban-link gold chain with a jade pendant and a gold chain with a Hello Kitty pendant, both valued at $5,000 TT, as well as a thinner gold chain priced at $2,200 TT. The woman was forced out of her car during the struggle, and the attacker fled the scene in her vehicle. Later in the evening, the woman discovered that her car had been left near her residence. She confirmed this and notified the police, who then proceeded to investigate the scene. The inquiry into the incident continues.
